A 25-year-old Oak Harbor woman was southbound in a 2009 Jeep Wrangler when she crossed the center line, according to the memo. The Jeep struck a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. The Jeep's driver was taken to a local hospital. The Chevrolet's driver, a 26-year-old Oak Harbor woman, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Two 17-year-old Oak Harbor sisters, one killed and one seriously injured in a car wreck in Anacortes on Thursday, Oct. 31st, had ties to the Oak Harbor School District and Skagit Valley College, school officials have confirmed. Janeah Goheen died at the scene of the collision, and Janesah Goheen passed away on Nov. 11th. Alysha Pickler, 18, of Oak Harbor was a passenger in the Goheens’ car. She was transported to Island Hospital in Anacortes, State Patrol officials said. Pickler was expected to be released from the hospital on Nov. 1st.

The Oct. 31 crash on Highway 20 that killed one Oak Harbor teenager near Anacortes has now claimed the life of her twin sister. Janesah Goheen, 17, died Monday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she was taken for treatment of severe injuries after a crash on Fidalgo Island with a 2006 Ford Mustang. Her sister, Janeah, died at the scene of the accident near Gibraltar Road. Meanwhile, a man accused of vehicular homicide in the first sister’s death is expected to face additional charges. The sisters and a friend were on their way to Seattle to see haunted houses for Halloween.
