The southbound lanes of I-270 have reopened between East Main and East Broad streets following a multi-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m., according to Columbus police. There were at least four vehicles involved in the crash.

One person was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

The lanes reopened at about 10:30 p.m., according to police.

A man was killed Monday night as a result of a crash on the far east side of Columbus. According to Columbus police, the crash happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. Monday along Brice Road near Tussing Road. According to investigators, 50-year-old Marcus A. Hughes, of Columbus, was trying to cross from the west side to the east side of Brice Road, when 57-year-old Gloria J. Hector, of Reynoldsburg, exited Interstate 70 eastbound and struck Hughes. Witnesses told police that Hughes was then struck by other vehicles, after the initial crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people were hospitalized after being involved in a crash on the city's far east side Sunday night.

Columbus police said the two-vehicle crash occurred in the 1800 block of Woodcrest Road at about 8 p.m.

Three people were transported to area hospitals with unknown conditions.

No charges were filed immediately.

One person was hospitalized after a five-vehicle crash in Westerville Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred at Corporate Drive and Westerville Road near state Route 161 at about 4 p.m.

Westerville fire responded to the scene, where one man was extricated from his vehicle. He was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Blendon Township police said several lanes of Westerville Road were closed during the investigation and cleanup. The lanes reopened at about 5:15 p.m.

Interstate 71 northbound has reopened on the city's north side after a fatal crash Saturday morning. According to Columbus police, officers responded to the area of I-71 near the Gemini Place exit on a report of a crash at about 6:14 a.m. Saturday. Police said 29-year-old Stephen Albenze, of Elyria, was operating a 2008 Ford Mustang, while 69-year-old David Eisnaugle, of Newark, was operating a semi, both traveling northbound on I-71, when the semi collided with the vehicle before traveling off the side of the roadway. After the collision, the semi struck a guardrail and a sound barrier.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a semi on the city's west side Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to Hague Avenue at Fisher Road in Franklin Township at about 8:27 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a crash.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 71 have reopened at Interstate 670 after a crash involving a wrong-way driver Friday morning. According to Columbus police, officers replied to a report of a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Interstate 71 northbound from Polaris Parkway at about 1 a.m. Friday. The caller, who was on the correct side of the freeway, paralleled the wrong-way vehicle and remained in contact with the 911 operator while police cruisers were dispatched to the area. The wrong-way driver continued for about seven miles until reaching Cooke Road.

All lanes of U.S. Route 62 have reopened following a crash involving multiple vehicles early Thursday morning.

Deputies from the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office responded to U.S. 62 between Mt. Sterling and Harrisburg at about 5:15 a.m.

According to the sheriff's office, the crash involved two semis, a passenger vehicle, and a pickup truck. One of the semis rear-ended the other semi causing it to hit the pickup truck. A passenger vehicle moving the opposite direction struck all of the debris.
