Elizabeth Slabaugh, 84, and her 14-year-old granddaughter were travelling northbound on M-51 at Pennsylvania Road when a car driven by Sally Lundy, 64, and her 3-year-old grandaughter pulled out in front of her, resulting in a head-on collision. Slabaugh had to be extrivated from her vehicle. She was sent to South Bend Memorial Hospital. All other parties were treated and released at the site of the accident. While Layaw was out of the car walking around and sustained lesser injuries, both Wagner and Kirkman had to be cut from the vehicles and were both taken to Hartford Hospital.

Police received a report of a three car accident at 968 Main Street. Ronald Shaw allegedly hit two vehicles. The Wilbraham Fire Dept. had to use the “jaws of life” to get one of the drivers out of their vehicle. Shaw was arrested by Officer Lawrence Rich for OUI Drugs and Negligent Operation.

Both occupants had to be extracted. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the report.

The 17-year-old and her passenger, Brittany Lemus, died at the scene. Everyone was wearing seat belts, troopers said. The teen victim has not yet been publicly identified.

A head-on collision at Highway 246 east of Lompoc Thursday afternoon left a teenager dead and a 62-year-old woman critically injured, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. when a Honda Civic traveling east on Highway 246 drifted across the solid double yellow lines and slammed into a westbound Chevy Malibu, said CHP Officer John Ortega. The driver of the Civic, identified as Skyler Kindschy, 17, of Lompoc, was declared dead at the scene, Ortega said.

A deadly car accident Saturday morning in Logan Canyon took the life of one young man, critically injured another and sent two more to the hospital. Utah Highway Patrol troopers say Bruce Wilson, 57, was driving a Ford pickup pulling a boat down Logan Canyon, with two young men with him. Those passengers have been identified as Morgan Wright, 14, and Ethan Fowers, 12. Lieutenant Lee Perry from UHP says he believes the three were coming home to Hooper after an outing on Bear Lake.

Four people were injured, one seriously, Saturday morning in a head-on collision on state Highway 12 caused by an allegedly drunk driver, Santa Rosa police said Saturday. The collision occurred just after 10:30 a.m. on Highway 12 at Melita Road, when an eastbound Ford Mustang crossed the center divider and struck a westbound Nissan Sentra head-on, according to police. The Sentra overturned and landed in the westbound lane with people trapped inside.

One driver is dead and another driver is in critical condition after a head-on collision in Pleasure Ridge Park early Saturday morning. According to police, just after 2:30 a.m., a 31-year-old man driving a SUV on the wrong side of the Greenbelt Highway hit another SUV driven by a 17-year-old woman, later identified as Elissa Greenwell, heading south near the intersection with Greenwood Road. A spokeswoman for the Louisville Metro Police Department, said both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles by Louisville Metro EMS and the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Department.
