Arlington police are investigating an accident that killed a woman in the morning on Sunday near Interstate 20 and State Highway 360. An Arlington Police Department spokeswoman said APD officers responded to the call of a major accident around 5:45 a.m. When they arrived, a female driver was found ejected from her vehicle. Police said early investigation into the crash points to the woman losing control of her car, and rolling down an embankment. As the car rolled, it was hit by another vehicle, ejecting the woman. Emergency crews attempted to revive the ejected driver without success.

The Columbus Police are investigating a fatal crash Downtown early this morning. The crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. in a parking lot on the southwest side of the intersection at 4th and Capital streets, police said. One person died after being ejected from the vehicle, police said. The victim has not been identified. The crash remains under investigation.

A 51-year-old man from Buffalo, Minn., was killed in a snowmobile crash over the weekend. According to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Craig Peitz was on a trail parallel to Endicott Avenue Northwest in Silver Creek Township around 3 p.m. Saturday. Officials say Peitz was going southbound on the trail when he came over a hill, hit a snow crest and was thrown from the snowmobile. Peitz was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The incident is still under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.

A woman is dead after crashing her vehicle in west Harris County early Wednesday morning. Officials said the 21-year-old woman was driving west on Park Row around 2:30 a.m. when she failed to make the curve in the road, hit the median and slammed into a tree. Investigators said the woman was tossed from her vehicle and landed in the road. She was then run over by her car as it kept rolling. The woman died at the scene. Harris County sheriff’s deputies said an autopsy has been scheduled to determine if the victim was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

A Utah Department of Public Safety spokesperson released the name of the victim involved in a fatal car accident on U.S. Highway 6 Friday night. Gregory D. Leavitt, 34, of Pleasant Grove died in a fiery collision with a semi-truck, after veering into oncoming traffic near Spanish Fork Canyon, according to a press release. The collision caused the semi-truck to jackknife and spill two trailers full of coal onto the highway. It also caused a brief fire in the cab of the semi-truck, injuring driver David Lee of Orem.

One person is dead and another is injured after their vehicle crashed and overturned late Tuesday. According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 2000 block of Brock Road in Paint Township, at about 9:49 p.m. Tuesday, on the report of a crash. Deputies said, when they arrived on scene, they found a 2006 Ford F-Series pickup truck overturned in a streamline near the roadway.

Emergency crews were on scene at an icy patch of highway 64/40 Thursday afternoon after multiple accidents happened just moments apart. Just west of the Boone Bridge on westbound 64/40, a female motorist hit a patch of ice and spun off the highway. The vehicle went across Technology Drive, a bordering roadway, before sliding into an embankment. The driver was not hurt, and there was no one else in the car. While officers responded, a second vehicle hit the same patch of ice, causing it to overturn. During the accident, one of the three people inside the vehicle was ejected.

A 19-year-old Wisconsin man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on New Year’s Day. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 1600 block of Highway A in Richmond, Wis., around 5:18 a.m. Wednesday. Officials say 19-year-old Taylor Casey of Hudson was driving southbound on the highway when he lost control of the Mercedes Benz SUV and went into a ditch, rolling the vehicle. Casey was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office says he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time. His passenger, 19-year-old Antonio Bloomquist of Hudson, was not injured.

A man has died after he lost control of his car in Greenville County Wednesday morning, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers. The wreck happened at 4:45 a.m. on Fork Shoals Road near McKelvey Road, troopers said. The Greenville County coroner identified the man as 27-year-old Aaron Robert Carlberg of Simpsonville. The coroner said Carlberg was not wearing his seat belt when his car left the roadway and went up an embankment before hitting several trees. The vehicle overturned and Carlberg was partially ejected.

Two people were killed and another critically injured in a car crash early New Year’s Day in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, authorities said. Crews responded about 4:45 a.m. to the crash in the 4500 block of West Lake Street, a Fire Media Affairs spokesman said. The car had been travelling westbound when the driver crashed into a light pole, a police News Affairs Officer said. A man and a woman in the car were dead at the scene, and another woman who was ejected from the car was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, according to police and fire officials.
