Two people are dead and three are in the hospital after a driver lost control of his car on Interstate 95 and slammed into a tree just north of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard Sunday night, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
The crash happened about 10:47 p.m. Jean Claude Denasty, 55, was behind the wheel of a 2009 Toyota Corolla when it crashed. His front seat passenger, Deada Denasty, 45, died at the scene.
Three passengers ages 50 to 66 were in the backseat. The driver and the three backseat passengers were all taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center with serious injuries.
Rhode Island State Police are identifying victims of a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 in Pawtucket that killed one woman.
Police said on Saturday that 27-year-old Sheng Zhou, of Riverside, suffered fatal injuries during the early-morning crash on Friday. She was a passenger in the SUV hit by the wrong-way driver and died in hospital about an hour after the crash.
Police identified the wrong-way driver as Estefani Almanzar, of Providence. She was alone in the car and remains in critical condition.

By ground and air, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was searching for a motorcyclist-involved in a crash on I-95 before leaving the scene.

A man who was involved in a car crash jumped off an overpass onto Interstate 95 and died on Thursday, Florida Highway Patrol says.
Troopers said the man was involved in a three-vehicle crash on I-95 in Volusia County just after 7 a.m.
When troopers got on scene, they saw the man get out of one of the vehicles, run over to the Dunn Avenue overpass in Daytona Beach and jump onto the I-95 shoulder, according to FHP.
