A teenager faces charges in connection with a Friday afternoon traffic crash in Thomasville in which one victim had to be freed from his vehicle by emergency crews.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to Winston Street and Arlington Avenue at 3:22 p.m. in reference to a rollover accident in which one person was trapped inside a vehicle.

Police shut down part of the southbound Jones Fall Expressway Friday night to rescue two people trapped in vehicles and treat a third who leapt from the elevated roadway, Baltimore City officials said.

Three people were taken to area hospitals after the two-vehicle, head-on collision near Pleasant Street, officials said. After the accident, a man left one of the cars and jumped off the expressway near Gay Street in what police said was an attempt to flee the scene.

Police have identified the woman who died in a crash early Friday near the San Pedro Avenue and Basse Road intersection as Senaida Delagarza, 43.

Delagarza was speeding southbound on San Pedro in her 2007 Nissan Sentra just after 1 a.m. when a 2006 Dodge Charger, driven by 35-year-old James Ybanez, pulled out of a private driveway, according to a police report. The Sentra crashed into the Charger and the Sentra's passenger side airbags deployed but the front airbags did not, according to police.

Milwaukee police have arrested a 24-year-old Milwaukee man suspected of driving the rental truck that crashed into a mother holding her 18-month-old girl, killing the toddler, a police spokesman said Friday. The man has not yet been named.

Cheyenne Jackson, 21, and her 18-month-old daughter, Ariana Matosek, were in a crosswalk at S. 6th and W. Hayes streets, heading west, shortly before 4:20 p.m. Wednesday when the truck hit them. Jackson was taken to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

A motorcyclist was hurt Friday morning in a crash near the intersection of Forest Hill and Southern boulevards.
The wreck occurred at 10:55 a.m., according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the motorcyclist had been struck by a vehicle and was lying in the road.
The man, whose name has not been released, was transported to Delray Medical Center by Trauma Hawk for treatment.

Two people, including a man secured in a wheelchair, were injured Friday afternoon in a collision that was caused by one driver’s failure to stop at a stop sign, East Aurora Police reported.

The driver of a full-sized van had to be transported to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight helicopter after the 12:45 p.m. accident at the intersection of Davis Road and Jewett-Holmwood Road in Aurora, police said.

Police did not release names of the drivers or passengers, but said they would be made available later.

An allegedly intoxicated Vancouver woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 205 this morning.

Stephanie A. Norman, 33, was driving a 1999 Toyota Tacoma north on the interstate when the vehicle’s wheels left the roadway just south of state Highway 500 about 5 a.m., according to Washington State Patrol.

Norman overcorrected and re-entered the roadway and rolled, coming to rest in the left lane, according to state patrol.

Norman was taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland where she is listed in fair condition.

Authorities in Sheboygan County are investigating a fatal crash.

It happened around 2:07 on Friday near County Road LS and Rowe Road in the town of Mosel.

William Oakley, 18, of Sheboygan, was killed.

The driver, Steven McGrew, 18, was taken to Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan by Orange Cross Ambulance. The front-seat passenger, 17-year-old Guy Kosolek, of Sheboygan, was taken to Theda Clark by Flight for Life.

Part of Route 128 was shut down Friday afternoon after a serious accident in Woburn.

A vehicle crashed in the northbound lanes around noon-time near Route 38.

A medical flight rescue helicopter was called in, so State Police shut down the highway so it could land.

It’s not clear yet what caused the crash or how many people were hurt.

State Police said the accident did have an impact on traffic in the area.

A 16-year-old is in trouble with the law after Upper Allen Township police in Cumberland County say the teen fled the scene of a crash and was driving under the influence. Police responded to a hit-and-run crash around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 1700 block of North Meadow Drive. "The striking vehicle fled the scene and was located by police several blocks away. The 16 year old juvenile driver admitted to having been driving at a high rate of speed, causing the vehicle to strike a curb which caused property damage and disabling damage to the vehicle," a police news release states.
