Seattle-Tacoma, WAA 22-year-old Lacey man was killed early Wednesday morning crash in Olympia. The collision happened at about 1:15 a.m. in the 2700 block of Pacific Avenue. According to police, a pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the road and hit a tree. The driver, Alex Petermann, was the only person in the vehicle and died at the scene. Authorities said the truck was traveling between 60 and 100 miles per hour.

Tuesday, December 31, 2013A 17-year-old Jupiter girl was killed early this morning in a one-car accident at Military Trail and Toney Penna Drive, Jupiter police said. Lynnae N. Copeland was traveling north on Military Trail in a 2001 Volkswagen Passat when she attempted to make a right turn onto Toney Penna Drive, according to officer Adam Brown, spokesman for the Jupiter Police Department. She lost control of the car and collided with a light pole. Copeland was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.

Monday, December 30, 201317-year-old Hayleigh Borton is in critical condition after a car crash in Lowell Township Wednesday morning.
It happened in the 11000 block of 36th Street SE.
According to police, 18-year-old Alexandra Tremblay was driving a Ford Taurus west on 36th Street when she tried to avoid a pickup truck that had stopped on the road to help a driver who had gone into a ditch.
Tremblay was not injured, but the girl in the front passenger seat was seriously injured. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Boston, MATwo teenagers are fighting for their lives after a late night crash on New Year’s Eve.
Three teens where in the car when it slammed into a tree on Gulf Road in Derry Tuesday night.
Two of the passengers, 17-year-old Kyle Ross and 16-year-old Johanna Morse were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Thompson Upham-Davis, 16, walked away from the crash; police say he was the only one wearing a seatbelt.
The people who live in the area say Gulf Road is a dangerous one.
UPDATE; Kyle Ross died Wednesday from the injuries he suffered in this accident.

Honolulu, HIThe horrific crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Farrington Highway near the Kahe Power Plant.
A young mother and her toddler were killed along with a third passenger in the car.
Family members say the person who was driving the car is the baby's father. He survived the crash and is recovering in the hospital. Police believe he may have been driving drunk.
There were two adults and two children in the truck all of them survived. The driver has a broken leg but the others no major injuries.

Washington, DCMontgomery County police detectives are investigating a fatal collision on Old Columbia Pike early Saturday morning.
According to police, they were called to a collision at 2:40 a.m. When they arrived, they found a red 2003 Infiniti G35 and a gray 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe in a head-on collision.
Police say the Chevrolet Tahoe was driving south when the Infiniti, which was traveling north, crossed the center line into southbound traffic. The two cars collided head-on in the southbound lanes.

Los Angeles, CAA 19-year-old driver had to be rescued after his car went off a cliff and plunged into the ocean in Palos Verdes.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. Friday on the 1300 block of Paseo del Mar. Responding officers said they could hear someone calling for help, so rescue crews from the fire department were called to the scene.
The 19-year-old male victim was pulled from the car and airlifed to a hospital in Torrance with serious injuries.

Las Vegas, NVA 15-year-old boy driving a moped was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the northeast valley Thursday night.
Alex Martinez and a 20-year-old male passenger were traveling west on Meikle Lane about 8:20 p.m. when the accident occurred. They were crossing Ringe Lane, near Nellis and Lake Mead boulevards where they were struck by an unknown vehicle, according to Las Vegas police.
Both Martinez and the passenger on the moped were thrown onto the road. The operator of the vehicle that hit them did not stop or call the police.

Wednesday, December 25, 2013Two teenagers were injured after a car hit the dirt bike they were riding Wednesday in Miramar.
The 13 and 16-year-old boys were traveling southbound on Southwest 66th Terrace and turned left onto Southwest 28th Street when they collided with a white Nissan Altima that was traveling westbound on Southwest 28th Street, according to Miramar Police.
The unidentified female driver stayed on scene and the teens were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The details of the accident are still under investigation.

Portland, ORA Forest Grove teen pleaded guilty Thursday in connection with the crash that killed two young stepsisters playing in a pile of leaves in October.
Mario Echeverria, 18, was sentenced to 13 months in prison for hindering prosecution after the crash, according to the Washington County District Attorney's office.
Police said he and 18-year-old Cinthya Garcia Cisneros were driving home Oct. 20 when they hit and killed 11-year-old Abigail Robinson and 6-year-old Anna Dieter-Eckert, who were playing in the leaves near their home.
