A Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school bus with more than two dozen students on board was involved in a collision Wednesday morning. The two-vehicle collision happened around 6:50 a.m. at the intersection of West Clemmonsville Road and Ebert Road. No one was injured. Bus #472 was going south on West Clemmonsville Road when an SUV ran a red traffic light and hit the bus, Winston-Salem police said. The SUV driver was cited for a stop light violation. The bus was carrying 26 students at the time of the collision.

Several students were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries early Wednesday after a wreck involving a school bus near McGee's Crossroads Elementary School in Johnston County, State Highway Patrol officials said. Forty-eight students were on the bus at the time of the wreck, which happened at about 8:15 a.m. near the intersection of Greenleaf Road and N.C. Highway 50.

Four people were taken to the hospital after an accident involving a school bus Tuesday, according to Medic. The wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Summit Avenue and Mint Street in Uptown Charlotte. Charlotte-Mecklenburg School officials said the bus, number 1305, was transporting students from Performance Learning Center. Medic told WBTV that three patients were taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Main, and that one patient was taken to Novant Presbyterian Hospital after the crash.

Police in Charlotte say a school bus and a CATS bus were involved in a collision Friday morning. The incident was reported at 6:04 a.m. at 4th Street and Grandin Road, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Police say the school bus was traveling down Grandin Road and the CATS bus was coming down 4th Street when the collided. No students were on the school bus. A few passengers from the CATS bus were transported to an area hospital as a precaution, police say. The buses were towed from the scene.

A Charlotte student was taken to the hospital after a wreck involving a school bus Friday afternoon. The accident happened just before 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Shamrock Drive and Crestmont Drive in east Charlotte. Police stated that the wreck involved a school bus from Harding High School and another vehicle. One person was pinned in the other vehicle, and is expected to be okay. One student was riding the bus at the time of the accident. That student was taken to the hospital. Their condition has not been released.

A school bus full of elementary school children was hit by a car in Rowan County Tuesday morning. The crash was reported around 9:45 a.m. on Woodleaf Road in Rowan County just outside of Salisbury near W. Ridge Road. The school bus was bringing back 28 students from Woodleaf Elementary School who had gone to see a play at the Norvell Theater in downtown Salisbury. A car crossed the center line of the road hitting the bus head-on. A second bus full of students was behind the first bus, but it was not involved in the accident.

A Durham County public school bus was involved in an accident late Monday morning. The accident happened along NC Highway 98 at Breedlove Avenue in east Durham just before noon, right as schools were releasing early due to inclement weather. According to Chip Sudderth with Durham Public Schools, eight high school students from City of Medicine Academy were on board Bus 418 when a black car collided into the side of the bus. Images from the scene showed the car with heavy damage, but it was unclear what caused the accident.
