According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Zackery Alan Conrad was traveling west on South Airport Road Thursday morning when he crossed the center dividing line and entered the south ditch.

Reports said the front left of Conrad's vehicle struck the embankment as it entered the ditch and came to rest on the south side of the road facing west.

He was pronounced deceased on scene according to the reports.

A vehicle crashed into a tree along Old Dominion Road in McLean, Va., killing one passenger and injuring at least one other.

The accident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. Friday morning. The deceased victim was an adult male. Police did not release further information on any of the other passengers, nor did they say how many passengers there were.

Old Dominion Road remains closed in both directions between Tolston Road and Peacock Station. A police spokesman said that stretch would stay closed for several more hours.

A serious crash involving a school bus and passenger vehicle on Bandana Lane and County Road 82 in Larimer County left two students and two adults injured Friday morning.

According to Poudre School District, their bus had nine students on board at the time of the wreck around 7 a.m.

According to police, the two students and the bus driver all suffered minor injuries but were transported to the hospital via ambulance as a precaution.

A motorist is dead following a collision involving a taxi cab in the Philadelphia's Olney section early Friday morning.

The accident happened around 1:40 a.m. on the 7100 block of Old York Road.

A witness stated that a vehicle was attempting to make a turn when it was struck broadside by a taxi cab.

Police say both drivers were taken to Einstein Medical Center.

The cab driver, believed to be in his 40s, suffered head, back and chest injuries.

A driver was killed and two passengers hurt early Friday when a sport utility vehicle overturned on Interstate 40 in Crittenden County.

The single-vehicle accident happened about 2:50 a.m. near the 270 mile marker west of West Memphis.

According to an Arkansas State Police report, 57-year-old Jerry L. White of Memphis was driving a 2001 Nissan Xterra east on the highway when the vehicle went out of control and crossed the median.

Police say the SUV then overturned, ejecting White and passenger Carlos Carter, 51, of Memphis.

One person was taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a utility pole on Granville Road (Route 57) early Friday morning, police said.

Officers were called to the crash in the area of 235 Granville Road five minutes after midnight, according to a Southwick Police Department Dispatcher.

Police said one person was taken to Baystate Medical Center, but is expected to recover.

The road was closed as repairs were made to the utility pole but re-opened within an hour. Western Massachusetts Electric Company worked on the wires that were knocked down.

BELLEVILLE, Illinois — Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a southwestern Illinois man accused of drunkenly causing the death of a passenger in his car.

St. Clair County prosecutors on Friday charged 36-year-old William Wellmon of Granite City with one count each of reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol causing death. Wellmon hasn't been arrested on the charges.

A Gastonia man has died nearly a week after investigators say he was hit by two vehicles while crossing the street. Investigators say both drivers left the scene. According to investigators with the Gastonia Police Department, 53-year-old John Wayne King died at Carolinas Medical Center from his injuries. King was involved in a hit and run at East Long Avenue and Broad Street last Friday. According to a witness, King was walking in the crosswalk across the intersection when he was struck by a white sports utility vehicle followed by another sedan.

Police in Pine Bluff say the suspected driver in a fatal hit-and-run collision that killed a teenager has been arrested. Police told reporters that 14-year-old Charles Jones was killed Friday night when he was struck while crossing U.S. 79 on the city's south side. Police say witnesses reported that the driver left the scene -- but a car matching the description of the one that struck Jones was later found and the suspected driver arrested early Saturday.

The township police department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Route 9 near Phillips Drive about 3:49 p.m. Friday. The driver, Boris Khaskes, 53, of Manalapan, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person his vehicle, police said. The crash involved five vehicles in both the north and south bound lanes, the closing of which delayed traffic for about 20 minutes, police said. A passenger in another vehicle was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with unknown injuries, police said.
