The 52-year-old man killed when his motorcycle was hit by a carload of high school students was identified Tuesday afternoon.

The chief deputy coroner of Adams and Broomfield Counties identified him as Gary Melillo. He worked for Denver Public Schools as a facility manager at Martin Luther King, Jr. Early College.

The crash happened at around 3 p.m. Friday on the 7300 block of State Highway 2 in Commerce City. The crash closed the highway for nearly six hours.

Waldoboro police on Monday identified the Massachusetts couple killed in a head-on crash Friday afternoon on Atlantic Highway.

Raymond Thompson, 68, and Peggy Aldrich, 70, both of Whitinsville, Mass., were headed north on Atlantic Highway when their 2014 Mitsubishi was struck head-on by a 2007 Dodge Caliber driven by 63-year-old Edward Bean of Waldoboro, Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde said Friday. Bean’s car had crossed into the northbound lane.

Thompson and Aldrich were declared dead at the scene.

A man who drove into a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus stop and seriously injured a woman in The City's Mission Terrace neighborhood Friday night was allegedly under the influence, a police spokesman said today.

Virgilio Aquino Jr., 44, of San Francisco, was arrested after allegedly driving his car into a bus stop at Mission Street and Silver Avenue around 9:35 p.m. Friday, according to a San Francisco police spokesman.

Aquino hit a 42-year-old woman, who was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police are investigating if a medical emergency caused an elderly woman to crash her vehicle in southeast Houston.

It happened around 9 p.m. Friday in the 10000 block of Almeda Genoa.

Houston police say a 79-year-old woman was driving on Almeda Genoa when she lost control and crashed into a traffic light pole.

Officials say the woman was transported to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital where she died.

The woman was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Police believe a medical emergency caused the woman to crash.

Police have identified a woman killed when her car collided with a train in Henry County as 52-year-old Connie Gauthier.

Georgia State Patrol officials said Gauthier died Friday afternoon, after they said she drove her Mercury Cougar into the path of an oncoming Norfolk Southern train.

Authorities said the accident happened around 1:15 p.m. Friday off Georgia 42 north of Canup Road, which is just north of the Butts County line.

A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident near Jefferson and Claybrook Friday night, according to police.

Around 9 p.m., officers found Toney Campbell, 46, lying in the street after being dragged and run over by a car. Campbell was transported to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition, where he later died.

According to police, Campbell was leaning inside the driver’s side window of a light colored minivan or SUV when the vehicle accelerated, swerving and dragging him.

A collision between a pair of pickup trucks left two men dead Friday night along Highway 183, just north of Hays.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report that Jesse D. Pfannenstiel, 40, failed to stop at a stop sign as he drove a 2002 Dodge pickup west on Feedlot Road, about three miles north of I-70. A second truck – a 2004 Dodge Ram – northbound on Highway 183 struck Pfannenstiel’s truck on the driver’s door, KHP said.

A Beggs man died when his car ran off the road while driving in Okmulgee County late Friday.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Kode Lane Stuart, 40, was driving a 2004 Dodge pickup northbound on Dentonville Road around 10:30 p.m. when he veered off the left side of the road, overcorrected and left the right side of the road before striking several trees.

Stuart was partially ejected from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive head injuries.

Stuart was not wearing a seat belt, according to the OHP.

A motorcyclist is dead after a wreck in northeast Harris County.

It happened in the 7500 block of Furay as a pickup truck was heading eastbound on Furay. Authorities say the truck was making a left turn when a motorcycle rider slammed into its rear.

The biker was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officials on scene say there parts from a second motorcycle at the scene and they're now looking for a second rider.

A witness reported seeing someone in a pickup truck pull up and pickup the second rider, the motorcycle and leave.

A Cullman man was killed in a wreck Friday morning just north of Jasper, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Jonathan Earl Kennedy, 26, was killed when the 2003 Nissan Sentra he was driving left the roadway on Russell Dairy Road five miles north of Jasper and hit a tree around 11:25 a.m., according to a news release from Trooper Curtis Summerville.

Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was not wearing a seat belt, according to Summerville.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the crash.
