A 19-year-old man is dead and a search is underway for the driver of a Chevy pickup in what witnesses described as a street racing collision involving a third vehicle. Witnesses told Phoenix police an older model white 1964 or 1965 Chevy pickup truck was racing with the driver of a Nissan Sentra about 2:45 p.m. Monday. "Witness accounts have these two vehicles racing on 16th Street from Broadway northbound, weaving in and out of traffic," said Phoenix Police.

Friends are mourning the loss of 19-year-old Keleian Braden Sunday night, another possible victim of street racing gone terribly wrong. It's happening in streets across the country, but far too often ends in tragedy. Brandon Roques says his 19-year-old brother Keleian Braden was a just spectator at a street race in Raleigh Saturday evening. "He's down here almost every Saturday, just so happened this Saturday he just got killed," said Roques.

An Orlando man has been arrested after police say he struck and killed a pedestrian Wednesday night. According to the arrest affidavit, police responded to a hit-and-run tip at 11:53 p.m. Wednesday, where they found a woman lying in the middle lane of South Kirkman Road. The victim was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for life-threatening injuries, and was pronounced dead around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

A landscaper, later identified as Octavio Herrera, 61, is in critical condition after he was hit by a pickup truck in a chain-reaction crash in the east Valley Wednesday morning. Police said a 17-year-old Mustang driver, who was street racing with another teen, blew through a stop sign and hit the exterminator's pickup near 52nd Street and Earll Drive at about 8 a.m. The crash sent the truck and its 27-year-old driver through a block wall, hitting a landscaper, who was mowing a lawn. The driver of the pickup was hurt but is expected to be OK.

A street racing crash on Tuesday in Sunnyside killed one person and injured several others, police said. Two cars were apparently racing about 2 p.m. in the 9100 block of southbound Scott when one of the drivers lost control and struck a tree, authorities said. Police said one of the people in a Pontiac Grand Prix was thrown from the car and died. At least five others were taken to Ben Taub General Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital. Their conditions weren't known later Tuesday.

Two men are dead from a road rage incident, San Antonio police said Friday. Officers were called to the scene of the fatal car crash on San Pedro Avenue, just north of Basse Road, Friday around 2 p.m. A witness stated that the drivers of a silver Acura and a white Crown Victoria were racing at high speeds on San Pedro. The passenger in the Acura, who was hanging outside of the vehicle's window, was arguing with the driver of the Crown Victoria and at some point, fell out of the car near San Pedro and Avenue Del Rey.

A motorcycle rider was in critical condition after crashing while racing another motorcycle near the Las Vegas Strip Monday morning. The two motorcycles were racing on Tropicana Avenue just before 3 a.m. when one of them hit a vehicle near Paradise Road, Las Vegas police lieutenant Bruce Miyama said. The rider was thrown from the bike and was in critical condition, though his injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the vehicle hit by the motorcycle had no injuries. The other motorcycle rider left the scene.

A 17-year-old from the Woodlands is facing charges for a crash that sent two other teenagers to the hospital. Authorities say Tyler Schlegel was behind the wheel of a car illegally racing on Gosling Road when the cars hit each other and one crashed into a tree. According to investigators, while one teen was trapped inside and the other was searching for help, Schlegel took his car and parked it down the street. Police say when he was identified as a driver, he tried to run. He was quickly arrested.

Tarpon Springs Police have identified two people killed in a crash Saturday on U.S. 19. Dive teams members with the Tarpon Springs PD found one vehicle in this retention pond. Nicholas Ray Osborn, 37, and Marco S. Valez, 39, of Clearwater died when the 1998 Mercedes SLK 230 they were in lost control in a northbound lane and crashed into a pond just before 3 a.m. The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Martin Luther King Jr. Investigators think the Mercedes may have been racing a white car that witnesses saw leaving the area.

A person was killed in a crash by a speeding car involved in a street race in Fairfield on Sunday evening, a police sergeant said. Officers responded to reports of a collision at Lopes Road and Canyon Hills Drive around 5:15 p.m., a police Sgt. said. Arriving officers found a blue Infinti coupe and black Mazda sedan at the scene, he said. An investigation showed that the Infinti was driving south on Lopes Road where it was involved in an incident with a black, late model Toyota Tundra pickup truck also traveling in the same direction, police said.
