Dive teams members with the Tarpon Springs PD found one vehicle in this retention pond.
Nicholas Ray Osborn, 37, and Marco S. Valez, 39, of Clearwater died when the 1998 Mercedes SLK 230 they were in lost control in a northbound lane and crashed into a pond just before 3 a.m.
The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Martin Luther King Jr. Investigators think the Mercedes may have been racing a white car that witnesses saw leaving the area.
Osborn was driving the Mercedes and was ejected during the crash. Investigators do not know his hometown.
The medical examiner has not completed the autopsies.
