The Mason County Sheriff's Office said it appears that alcohol and possibly marijuana were factors in a crash that killed two people Sunday morning. Mason County Coroner Wes Stockwell identified the dead as David Michael Dudley Jr., 19, of Bremerton, and Alena J. Pepi, 18, of Port Orchard. One person was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after the crash. The Mason County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened off Forest Service Road 23. The Sheriff's Office said five people were in the back bed of the pick-up, which was traveling at a high speed.

A 23-year-old southwest suburban Lockport man died Saturday when his car burst into fire after crashing into a ComEd pole on Bell Road in Homer Township, Will County sheriff’s police said. Andrew Mazza died of injuries suffered in the crash, according to the county coroner’s office. Mazza was speeding in a turbocharged Dodge Neon southbound on Bell Road when he lost control about 6:30 p.m., south of 143rd Street and about a quarter-mile north of Martindale Lane, police spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said. Hoffmeyer said the car rolled over several times before hitting the pole.

Police have identified the two men killed in a Clermont County crash early Saturday morning. The crash happened along State Route 74 near Amelia-Olive Branch Road just after 5 a.m. Police said Devin Zeisler, 22, of Alexandria, Ky., was driving eastbound on State Route 74 when he drifted off the right side of the road. He over-corrected, then slid across and off the left side of the roadway. Officials said he hit a fire hydrant and continued through some small brush before ramping across a creek and hitting a tree. The vehicle came to rest in the creek.

Officials confirmed Tuesday night that a woman died after a motorcycle accident on Washington Road. Regina Lynn Allen, 44, of Grovetown, was the passenger on the motorcycle, according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen. Allen was pronounced dead on scene at 9:40 p.m., Bowen said. About 9:04 p.m., EMS was called to the parking lot of 2801 Washington Road in regards to multiple victims with injuries.

Deputies have released the name of a man who died in a rollover accident on Highway 16 Saturday. Deputies said 61-year-old Fernando Salazar died after rolling his dump truck in far Northwest Bexar County Saturday morning.

A man died after wrecking his motorcycle into a utility pole in rural Meade County, Kentucky. The crash occurred Saturday just after 8 p.m., in the 1900 block of Midway Road (Highway 1239) between Navaho Trail Road and Sirocco-Midway Road, southwest of the city of Brandenburg. Meade County Sheriff Butch Kerrick said their investigation found the victim was from Louisville and was not familiar with the Meade County road. No other vehicles were involved. Police said they believe alcohol and speed were factors in the wreck.

One person was in critical condition and three others were seriously injured after a truck ran off a west Uintah County road and rolled. Uintah County sheriff’s Corporal Brian Fletcher said the accident occurred 4 p.m. Wednesday when the driver, a 24-year-old Myton man, lost control of the westbound vehicle and crashed at 5000 N. 2500 East. One person, ejected as the truck rolled, was flown by medical helicopter to a Salt Lake City hospital in critical condition. Three other occupants were taken to Uintah Basin Medical Center in Vernal with serious injuries.

Two people were killed early Tuesday morning when their car ran off the road and into a nearby bayou on U.S. Highway 61 in St. James Parish, according to the Louisiana State Police. Matthew P. Daigle, of Lutcher, 48, and Terri R. Deslatte, 54, of Hester, died in the wreck, Trooper Jared L. Sandifer said in a news release. At just after 1:30 a.m., a witness called 911 to report that a car ran off the road.

Investigators have identified one of the three people who died in a rollover crash near the Salt Lake City International Airport. Michaela Martin, 18, of Taylorsville and two boys died Saturday after their vehicle flipped into a retention pond at the end of a chase on Interstate 80, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The 24-year-old driver of the black Volkswagen, who survived, allegedly sped out of a parking garage at the airport at about 5 a.m. and would not stop for an airport police officer, according to UHP Lt. Jeff Nigber.

An early morning crash has claimed the life of one person near Roger Road and Mountain Avenue. When officers arrived around 2:35 a.m. they found a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 1991 Volkswagen 4-door which had been involved in a crash. The driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge Charger was not injured. Chris Widmer with TPD says detectives from the Traffic Investigations Unit determined that the Volkswagen was traveling westbound on Roger Road passing through the intersection of Mountain Avenue, which is a 4-way stop.
