Seattle Police are investigating an officer-involved crash in South Seattle Thursday. Just before 6:00 a.m., a SPD officer was driving a marked patrol car north on Swift Avenue South. A man driving south in a silver 4-door sedan crossed the center line, and hit the officer head on. Medics took the officer to the hospital with minor injuries. The other driver was treated on the scene, and did not need further treatment Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives are investigating the collision.

A man faces multiple charges including DWI and assault with a deadly weapon after a police officer was injured in a crash Tuesday night. Archdale Police Officer J.A. Jeffries was injured in the crash around 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Gregg Street and Robert Lane. He was treated for minor injuries at High Point Regional Hospital and released. Vernon Timothy Dehart, 47, of Trinity, was treated for minor injuries at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Archdale police allege Dehart sped toward Jeffries and hit his patrol vehicle.

A Long Beach police motorcycle officer was injured in a traffic accident involving a big rig on Tuesday. Authorities say the accident happened in the area of Santa Fe Avenue and 14th Street at 8:51 a.m. The officer was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. Santa Fe Avenue was shut down between Anaheim and 17th streets due to the investigation

A bank robbery that ended with the suspect escaping on a bicycle led to a carjacking, a collision with police and a fatal officer-involved shooting Tuesday morning in a swath of the southeast Valley that encompassed Gilbert, Mesa and unincorporated areas. The suspect, who police could only identify as a man in his 50s or 60s, was shot and killed in an apartment complex parking lot near Crismon and Broadway roads after he turned and showed a Gilbert police officer a gun, according to a Gilbert police spokesman.

A 24-year-old man police said crashed into a stopped zone car and fled Friday night is also accused of being drunk and not having a license, according to court records. Edward Hughes Jr. faces drunken driving and open container charges, as well as failing to stop at an accident, failure to control and not having a driver's license, according to Cleveland Municipal Court records. Two officers were stopped in traffic at East 93rd Street and Kinsman Avenue about 9:55 p.m. Friday when Hughes struck the car, police said.

A Braintree teen has pleaded not guilty in Quincy District Court to operating under the influence of drugs after he allegedly crashed his car into a police cruiser while he was trying to videotape an accident scene on his cellphone, police said. William Sawyer Jr., 18, was also charged with impeded operation, operating to endanger, and obstructing an emergency vehicle, according to a Norfolk district attorney’s spokesman.

A Newport News police officer suffered a medical emergency while on duty Thursday afternoon, causing the police cruiser she was driving to travel across Denbigh Boulevard, striking two civilian vehicles.

A state police trooper is facing drunken driving charges after crashing his police cruiser in Ashford last week, according to state police. A State police spokesman said 43-year-old David Lavoie crashed on Route 44 in Ashford shortly after midnight Wednesday. Lavoie’s police cruiser was heavily damaged and the trooper was injured. He was treated Windham Hospital. After his release, Lavoie was charged with drunken driving and failure to maintain a lane, Vance said. A sergeant responding to the crash took Lavoie’s handgun and other police equipment, according to state police.

An Indiana State Police trooper was involved in a crash on the city’s northwest side on Tuesday morning. According to police, the trooper was investigating several slide offs in the area of Interstate 865 at the 4 mile marker. A semi approaching the scene lost control, and the trailer swung around, striking the trooper’s car. Dispatchers say the trooper was inside of the car at the time of the crash. Officials say the trooper was alert and conscious at the scene. He was complaining of neck and back pain.

Authorities said a 15-year old boy led state police on a nine-mile pursuit Sunday morning, ramming into two police cars before losing control of his vehicle and overturning on a busy stretch of Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County. The incident closed several northbound lanes of 1-95 in Spotsylvania County, just past exit 126, police said.
