A 34-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio was killed in a snowmobiling accident Saturday night. Preliminary reports indicate that his snowmobile struck a pickup that was parked on the ice on Devil's Lake in Lenawee County, Michigan. Two men were riding snowmobiles near the Tip-up Festival on Manitou Beach when the accident happened at around 10 p.m. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

The Wexford County Sheriff's Department say a 30-year-old Grand Rapids-area man was injured Saturday when he crashed his snowmobile into a snowbank on Lake Cadillac. His condition is unknown at this time. We'll update this story with any updates we receive.

A female snomobiler was seriously injured in a Friday morning accident in Alger County, Michigan. The accident occured shortly before 11:00 AM, when the Alger County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the accident. The deputies report that Adine Marie Long of Tustin, in Michigan's lower peninsula, was riding north on Trail 8 about three miles north of Shingleton when she failed to negotiate a curve. Shethen rode off the trail and struck a tree, causing her to be ejected from the snowmobile.

The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on Pine View Drive and Wycherley Drive in Mancelona Township. A snowmobile driver was traveling east on Wycherley Drive when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection, striking the wing plow blade of an Antrim County Road Comiision grader that was headed south on Pine View Drive. The wing type of snow plow blade extends out from the side of plow trucks, allowing them to clear the lane and road shoulder simultaneously. The woman had no identification with her and was airlifted to Munson Medical Center by North Flight EMS.

Terrill was riding his Ski-Doo snowmobile near Fifth street at about 8:40pm when he ran into a drainage ditch and was thrown from the vehicle. He was hospitalized with a knee laceration and complaints of chest pain.

According to police in White Lake Township, Oakland county, a 43-year-old Waterford Township man was snowmobiling with others on a trail in the Pontiac State Recreation Area when he hit a gate and died at around 1:20 a.m. Monday. The man was later identified as John Holland.

A man was snowmobiling in Baroda Township, Berrien County on Sunday evening when a pickup truck struck him. The accident occurred while a winter storm warning was in effect, just after 6 p.m. A 2003 Chevy truck was driving south on Cleveland and turning left into a private driveway when it collided with a snowmobile operated by Aaron Olmstead. Olmstead was traveling north along Cleveland. Martin said Olmstead was ejected from the snowmobile and pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup driver, Jonah Stoll, 18, was not issued a traffic citation. Neither Stoll nor his passenger were injured.

Troopers believe Brandon Tegoseak-Kinnard, 32, was majorly injured when he fell to the ground from his snowmobile alone on a trail outside the village of Buckland in the Northwest Arctic Borough, approximately 75 air miles from Kotzebue. Tegoseak-Kinnard was flown to Anchorage for medical treatment, where he later died from his injuries.

Jason Ringle, 34,  was riding a snowmobile on a trail Saturday when he fell off the vehicle and was hit by another snowmobile rider in his group of companions. The crash occurred on a snowmobile trail off of Birch Spring Road in Plum Lake Township, Wisconsin.

A woman was riding in a line of three snowmobiles on Lake Mohawksin in Tomahawk on Sunday after midnight when she was ejected from the back of the first sled after the operator hit a bump. The second snowmobile then struck her while she was lying on the ice. The victime was transported to and pronounced dead at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
