Woman dies in Lake Mohawksin snowmobile accident

The Lincoln County sheriff's office and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are investigating.

UPDATE: Name of woman killed in snowmobile crash released

Officials from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department say 41-year-old Jennifer D. Ambrose was found laying on the ice not breathing.

A woman was riding in a line of three snowmobiles on Lake Mohawksin in Tomahawk on Sunday after midnight when she was ejected from the back of the first sled after the operator hit a bump. The second snowmobile then struck her while she was lying on the ice. The victime was transported to and pronounced dead at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
