Nashville, TNPolice say the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Clarksville is a teenager.
Eighteen-year-old Dashawna Saunders was hit by a car Friday night. A police officer found her laying on Tiny Town Road near Twelve Oaks Boulevard.
Police are still looking for the dark colored van or SUV that hit her. They say it should have heavy front-end damage.
Saunders is still recovering, but she's no longer in critical condition.

Tucson, AZThe Pima County Sheriff's Department is looking for a white sedan that fled an accident where an 8-year-old boy riding a bicycle was struck and injured Thursday evening.
The boy, who was wearing a helmet and was in a marked crosswalk on the northwest side, was in serious but stable condition at University of Arizona Medical Center, said a Northwest Fire District spokesman.
The boy's injuries are non-life threatening. "His injuries were reduced because he was wearing a helmet, and that helped save his life," the fire dept. said.

Jacksonville, FLThe Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a vehicle that hit a school bus on the Westside on Wednesday morning, then drove away.
At 6:40 a.m. a school bus was rear-ended by an unknown Jeep Wrangler, according to FHP. The vehicle then fled the scene after the crash.
Thirty-five students were on the bus at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported according to FHP.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes of Blanding Boulevard at Longchamp Road. The crash did not block any lanes of traffic, according to FHP.
FHP is investigating the crash as a hit-and-run.

Madison, WIA Madison boy was taken to a hospital Sunday night after being struck by a car while he was riding his bike.
Madison police said the boy is believed to be 7-years-old and was struck when he pedaled out of a driveway and into the 1500 block of Trailsway.
The boy’s injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
The car that struck the boy is described as a white Nissan.

Washington, DCD.C. Police are searching for the driver of a stolen minivan who struck a 22-year-old D.C. woman in the Shaw neighborhood Saturday night, severely injuring her.
The woman was crossing Rhode Island Avenue around 9:30 p.m. when she was struck by the van. Her injuries were so massive that she wasn't expected to survive at first.
She has now regained consciousness and spoke by phone from her hospital bed.
"After he hit me, he ran over me again, and I became unconscious. I know I felt afterward, 'I am dying,'" said the woman, who asked that her name not be used.

Friday, March 28, 2014A driver who crashed into several parked vehicles in North Berkeley, then fled the scene as his car burned, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run just after 9:30 Saturday morning, authorities said.
Authorities identified the driver as Geoffrey Cronin, 42, of Berkeley. Cronin was arrested last year in connection with a knife assault and police chase in Berkeley in August.

Washington, DCPolice are looking for information leading up to the arrest of a driver involved in a fatal hit and run early Saturday morning.
Crews responded to the 4900 block of Annapolis Road in Bladensburg just before 1 a.m. for a pedestrian accident.
There, they found 42-year-old William Altamirano of West Palm Beach critically injured. Altamirano was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say Altamirano was likely crossing Annapolis Road when he was struck by a white pickup truck traveling westbound. Altamirano did not use a crosswalk, according to police.

San Diego, CAA suspected drunken driver has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter in the death of a 27-year-old woman who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Del Mar, authorities said Saturday.
Rachel Anne Morrison and a friend were walking eastbound in a crosswalk at the intersection of Camino Del Mar and Coast Boulevard about 10:15 p.m. Friday when Christopher Stockmeyer, 41, allegedly ran a stop sign and struck her at a high rate of speed, according to sheriff's officials and the county Medical Examiner's Office.

New York, NYThe family of a little boy who was the victim of a hit-and-run while crossing Koenig Boulevard Thursday is asking for privacy and thanking friends for their support. Amir Russ, 2, was at the intersection near Spring Brook Village in Kingston just after 10 p.m. when he was struck. The driver sped off, but witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored vehicle pulling away from the scene and traveling southbound on Koenig toward Port Ewen. Amir was upgraded from critical to serious condition Friday night, according to a spokesman at Westchester Medical Center.

Wednesday, March 26, 2014An Orlando man has been arrested after police say he struck and killed a pedestrian Wednesday night.
According to the arrest affidavit, police responded to a hit-and-run tip at 11:53 p.m. Wednesday, where they found a woman lying in the middle lane of South Kirkman Road. The victim was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for life-threatening injuries, and was pronounced dead around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
