One person is dead following a crash in Lowell involving a pick-up truck and mini-van. The crash happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday on the overpass of I-96 and Alden Nash Avenue. A Michigan State Police officer said the mini-van ran out of gas and an adult went out to push it. The driver of a pick-up truck then hit the van and killed the person who was pushing the van.

A woman was arrested for DUII after she pulled a U-turn and crashed into cops early Saturday morning, police said. Around 3:20 a.m., 25-year-old Aphinity Marday Jumping Bull was driving west on North Lombard Street near Commercial Avenue with officers right behind her, said a Sgt. with Portland police. Jumping Bull pulled a U-turn in her 2004 Chevy Impala and slammed into the police car. She then drove off but only made it to North Kerby Avenue before her car broke down, Simpson said.

Police are searching for a driver who they believe fatally hit a 40-year-old man crossing a southwest Houston street early Saturday morning, authorities said. The victim was crossing the street in the 8700 block of Bellaire shortly before 6 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle, said a Houston Police Department spokesman. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

A Buffalo teen suffered non-life threatening injuries early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run incident on Kensington Avenue. Although the driver initially left the scene, he turned himself in a short time later at the E District station house on Bailey Avenue and was issued a summons for leaving the scene of an injury accident. He was not identified. The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Kensington Avenue where the 16-year-old was attempting to cross. The male victim was transported to Women and Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian collision that occurred around 4:30 Saturday morning. Officers arrived at the scene to find a man in a ditch off the roadway of FM 1431 and Vista Ridge. The man was identified as 28-year-old Andrew Jensen. Jensen was transported to Seton Williamson with life-threatening injuries. The man was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a 2012 or 2013 grey Jeep Liberty that then left the scene. The jeep was heading westbound on East Whitestone when the vehicle struck the bicycle.

Police have arrested a person of interest wanted in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Chesterfield on Feb. 12. Authorities say 54-year-old Yelena Pelts, of Chesterfield, was in custody Tuesday. The arrest comes nearly a week after 41-year-old Roy Joseph was struck while walking along Olive Blvd. just west of River Valley Dr. His body was found lying in snow around 7 a.m. that morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Physical evidence at the scene and subsequent investigation led detectives to a 2004 Pearl white Toyota Sienna mini-van owned by Pelts.

Las Vegas police are looking for a white company truck involved in a Tuesday morning three-way collision with a moped and a pedestrian in a wheelchair. Police responded about 8:45 a.m. to the accident near Boulder Highway and Russell Road. The pedestrian was transported to University Medical Center with noncritical injuries, according to police. Police would not say how the third vehicle, a moped, was involved in the accident. The truck, which had green lettering on the side, fled the scene.

Parents of an Orange County teenager who was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run announced Wednesday they are offering a reward to help find the person behind the wheel. Stephen Cureton, 17, was walking with a friend near Yorktown Avenue and Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach about 8:30 p.m. Monday when he was struck by a car and thrown 40 feet, his parents said. "To launch his body about 40 feet, have him hit the pavement at the impact that it did and then just leave him there ... I am just appalled that someone would consider my son disposable," said the teen's mother, Victoria Cureton.

Police are looking for a driver who struck and killed a 15-year-old boy and fled the scene in Fort Lauderdale Sunday. The crash happened just after 1 a.m. in the 2700 block of West Broward Boulevard as the pedestrian, Justin Flowers, was crossing the street, Fort Lauderdale Police said. According to police, an older model Jeep Cherokee changed lanes and struck Flowers, who was thrown to the ground. He was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center where he later died.

50-year-old man struck and killed by hit-and-run driver in Kirkwood, Missouri

A 50-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run wreck in Kirkwood on Sunday night. Authorities say they were called to the 400 block of N. Kirkwood Rd., just south of Bodley, and found the victim laying in the street. He was transported to Mercy Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Additional information regarding the victim was not immediately available. Police say they are still trying to locate the vehicle involved.
