14-year-old Lily Rhodes was riding on ATV with three friends at a birthday party when something, possibly a hole in the terrain, caused the vehicle to flip and eject all occupants. Of those involved, Rhodes sustained the worst injuries and had to have most of her arm amputated, though she should make a good recovery otherwise. One other girl on the ATV also had some serious injuries, and remains in the hospital with a broken vertebrae. What personal injury victims need to know:

A little after 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, a vehicle driven by Alexander Bailey, 21, failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling on US 60 at S. Street in Kay County, OK. A vehicle driven by Timothy Rutledge, 41, collided into the passenger side of Bailey's car. Bailey was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, but his passenger 21-year-old Bridgette Coleman, of Ponca City, died from her severe injuries from  the car crash.

Vinicio Mendoza and one other man left a night club in a Ford Mustang at high speed. Witnesses say they were traveling close to 80 mph at one point, in an urban area. The Mustang rear-ended a Honda Civic near 133th East Avenue. Fortunately no one in the Honda was seriously hurt. Mendoza was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and having no driver's license or insurance. The passenger was not arrested. Police are investigating this accident.

Cary Neal Rogers, a UPS semi-truck driver, was outside of his truck that was parked on the shoulder of the turnpike when a second semi driven by Scott Randall Sims was driving eastbound on the turnpike when for an unknown reason, it veered off the roadway and rear-ended the UPS semi.  Both Rogers and Sims were pronounced dead at the scene. Sims was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck and was ejected from his vehicle.

Though both passengers were wearing their seatbelts, the air bags were not equipped to deploy. White was dead at the scene, but the 11-year-old boy has already been released from the hospital.
