She's thankful for the surgeons, nurses and everyone who had a role in saving what's left of her arm, and her life.
14-year-old Lily Rhodes was riding on ATV with three friends at a birthday party when something, possibly a hole in the terrain, caused the vehicle to flip and eject all occupants. Of those involved, Rhodes sustained the worst injuries and had to have most of her arm amputated, though she should make a good recovery otherwise. One other girl on the ATV also had some serious injuries, and remains in the hospital with a broken vertebrae.
What personal injury victims need to know:
If you have been injured due to the negligence of someone else, you need information on your rights and of how the insurance claim process works. Typically an insurance company tries to rush you into a decision to settle a claim, to reduce their payout.
If you have been seriously injured through no fault of your own, it is crucial to get help from an experienced personal injury attorney who will talk with you about your options and help you find a way forward.
