Two people injured when a Honda driving the wrong way on Interstate 79, in Robinson Township, PA, crashed head on into a tow truck. Both drivers were injured and transported to Allegheny General Hospital.

The dump truck driver, Justin Peabody, 25, attempted an evasive maneuver, but couldn't avoid the crash. Robinson was declared dead at the scene. No alcohol was detected, and it remains a mystery why Robinson crossed into the oncoming lanes.

CBS46 has confirmed that a fifth person has died as a result of an accident that occurred in Hall County Monday morning. The latest victim was a 3-year-old child. We also have learned the identities of two of the victims. The driver is identified as 34-year-old Amanda Pardue and the front seat passenger as 53-year-old Robbie Harris. Both are from Gainesville. Police also say 13-year-old Dalton Martin also died in the crash. The accident occurred about 10:45 a.m. Monday on Athens Highway and Oak Grove Road. GSP says the crash involved a tractor trailer and a Ford Explorer.

Authorities said two dump truck drivers died in a head-on collision Wednesday morning near Mattawa in Grant County. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office asked drivers to avoid the area near Road O SW and Road 27 SW where the two trucks collided head-on and caught fire. Deputies said the truck driven by 53-year-old Bruce Patnode of Yakima crossed the center-line of Road O SW and crashed into the oncoming dump truck driven by 45-year-old Dale Peters of Selah. Both men were ejected from their trucks and died at the scene according to deputies.

The Marion post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed one person Friday afternoon. According to the highway patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. Friday along state Route 309 near state Route 746 in Marion County. Investigators say that 68-year-old Gayle Callahan, 68, of Crestline was traveling west on S.R. 309 when she drove left of center, striking a tractor-trailer head-on. Callahan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured.

A man from North Richland Hills is dead after his car collided with a tractor-trailer around 4:04 a.m. on the on-ramp to the eastbound lanes of I-635E from Highway 114. Police say the man was traveling the wrong way when his Honda collided head-on with the semi. The driver has been identified as 22-year-old Jorge Rico. Rico’s time of death is listed on the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website as 4:15 a.m., with a cause of death being multiple blunt force injuries. Rico was the only person injured in the crash, which shut down the I-635E on-ramp for two hours.

A wrong-way crash on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County left one woman dead on Tuesday night. State police say a tractor-trailer crashed head-on into a vehicle headed north in the southbound lanes in Silver Spring Township. The collision happened after the truck sideswiped another vehicle trying to avoid the oncoming car. The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. on I-81 near mile marker 57 outside of Mechanicsburg. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, Aaron King, of Carlisle, was killed

One person was hurt after a head-on crash early Wednesday morning near Port Mayaca. At 6:30am rescue crews responded to the 14977 block area of US 441 for reports of a sugarcane truck accident. First-arriving crews found heavy damage to both vehicles, according to Cpt. Albert Borroto with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. A man was taken to Lakeside Medical in Belle Glade for treatment.

A woman has died after the car she was driving crashed head-on with a garbage truck south of St. Charles, the Saginaw County Sheriff's Department reports. The crash happened about 10:17 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, on highway M-52, also known as Graham, south of St. Charles and north of Ring, Saginaw County Central Dispatch reports. "A Billy's trash truck was involved and that was going southbound when a northbound vehicle came around the curve and went into the southbound lane and hit the truck head-on," a Saginaw County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Mark said.

Authorities have identified the man who died in a three-vehicle wreck Saturday afternoon in Walker County. William Earl Lovelady, 71, of Dora, was pronounced dead at the scene. Lovelady was traveling westbound on Highway 78 when he lost control of his vehicle near Sharon Boulevard and crossed the median. He hit a guardrail and bounced back into oncoming traffic. His car was hit head-on by a semi-truck and then by a second vehicle. Dora police responded to the crash around 3:40 p.m. No other injuries were reported. The wreck remains under investigation.
