The man was thrown from the top of a speeding car before it crashed on the Southwest Freeway feeder road near River Oaks, Texas. According to police, the man and woman did not know each other, but became involved in an altercation in Rice Village. Police said the woman had backed into the man's car in the parking lot. When the man approached the woman's car to collect her insurance information, she sped off. At this point, the man jumped onto the hood of her car. The woman will be charged with aggravated assault with a vehicle.

A woman was hit and killed when a speeding car drove over a curb on a northeast Birmingham road. Angela Marie McCall, 34, was killed in a hit-and-run on Parkway East, Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards said. Around 12 a.m. Wednesday, an individual was driving eastbound on Parkway East near a man in a Grand Prix who was speeding down the road. The witness drove behind the Grand Prix and honked the car's horn before driving around the car. The driver of the Grand Prix began driving erratically, around 60 mph, the witness told investigators.

A man who crashed his car into a house Thursday evening is accused of driving the wrong way down another street minutes earlier — all while being “extremely impaired.” Burlington police were searching for the 1994 Honda Accord driven by Mario O’Keith Strayhorn, 22, of Roslyn Drive, after it struck another car while going the wrong way down Fisher Street.

A suspected drunken driver has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter in the death of a 27-year-old woman who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Del Mar, authorities said Saturday. Rachel Anne Morrison and a friend were walking eastbound in a crosswalk at the intersection of Camino Del Mar and Coast Boulevard about 10:15 p.m. Friday when Christopher Stockmeyer, 41, allegedly ran a stop sign and struck her at a high rate of speed, according to sheriff's officials and the county Medical Examiner's Office.

The intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Windmill Lane has reopened to traffic after being closed for nearly seven hours because of a fatal crash that left two people dead. The crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. According to police, the driver of pickup truck was speeding southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard and rear-ended a moped stopped at a red light. Both people on the moped were thrown more than 100 feet. One person died at the scene and the other died at University Medical Center. A third car was also hit by the vehicles.

Philadelphia Police are investigating a hit and run accident that left a pedestrian seriously injured in North Philadelphia Tuesday. It happened at 21st Street and Susquehanna Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Police say a woman, believed to be in her late 40's, had just exited a SEPTA bus when she was struck by a white Chevy Impala at a high rate of speed. The impact sent the victim flying nearly 30 feet before she landed in the street. She was taken to Temple University Hospital with serious head injuries.

Detectives have released a photo of a person of interest in the hit-and-run crash in Watts that left a 19-year-old man dead. Authorities said a black 2013 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling at approximately 80-100 mph on a residential street when the vehicle hit a dip in the road, went airborne and struck Jerry Arredondo at 105th Street and Wadsworth Avenue at about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday. The teen was thrown straight into a nearby tree, which split in two. Arredondo was pronounced dead at the scene.

A tow truck driver was critically injured after a hit-and-run driver slammed into him on the side of the road in Bloomington. The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday when a tow truck driver with Aslan Towing out of Riverside was called to pick up a yellow Chevy Camaro on a bridge over rail road tracks near the 10200 block of Cedar Avenue. The road is very narrow and has no shoulder. As the tow truck driver was putting the Camaro onto the flat bed of his truck, California Highway Patrol officials say someone driving a silver Nissan Altima slammed into him at high speed.

Aided by a witness who followed a hit-and-run driver, police arrested a Youngstown woman on a variety of charges early Saturday stemming from an accident on the Robert Moses Parkway. According to reports, the suspect struck a car driven by a Youngstown man around 5:30 a.m., then drove away from the scene. A witness to the accident followed the fleeing driver, and sheriff’s deputies were able to stop her car on Blairville Road a short time later. Carole R. Rossi displayed signs of intoxication and was found to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.16, twice the legal limit, police said.
