Just before 10:00pm, a 45-year-old man driving on Highway 20 crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man head-on. Both drivers sustained multiple fractures in the collision, but the 45-year-old man was knocked unconsious and had injuries that were considered life-threatening, while the 18-year-old man was conscious but still in serious condition. We will update this accident as more information is released.

A wrong-way driver, not yet identified publicly, crashed with another vehicle and died at the site on Interstate 82 near Granger Monday evening. All five occupants in the car that was struck and and a third car were taken to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. The extent of their injuries has not been reported. The crash was reported about 6:35 p.m. one mile west of Granger, when the driver of a Volkswagen Beetle was westbound in the eastbound lanes and crashed into an eastbound Toyota Corolla, which then crashed into an eastbound Honda Accord.

Panos S. Palas was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of I-5, causing two cars to crash and one passenger to suffer a broken leg. After a breath test it was determined that Palas had a blood alcohol content of .123, and troopers arrested him. Palas "admitted to drinking brandy for a cough and stated it helped with his medicine."The things that you need to know about an accident with a drunk driver

Just before 5 a.m., a red Subaru crossed the center line on Trent Avenue at Barker Road and hit the tractor trailer head on. The Subaru driver sustained critical injuries, and the semi driver suffered minor ones. Check back for updates.

The Washington State Patrol says a wrong-way driver was responsible for a crash early Friday on Interstate 5 near Lacey. The patrol said Michael R. McDonald, 44, of Longbranch was driving a 2013 Hyundai north in the southbound lanes for three miles before hitting Saul Cabreracarillo, 47, of Seattle at the Nisqually Exit 114. Both drivers and a passenger in Cabreracarillo’s car were injured, and the southbound lanes were closed for about three hours. The patrol said the wrong-way driver was booked into the Thurston County Jail for investigation of vehicular assault.

6-year-old boy died and three other people were hospitalized Friday following a wrong-way car crash on Interstate 5 just north of Vancouver. The accident happened just before 2 p.m. when an 84-year-old Vancouver man driving south in the northbound portion of I-5 crashed head-on into a car driven by a La Center woman who had two children in her vehicle. Gage W. Musgrave was driving a white 2005 Toyota Avalon, according to the Washington State Patrol accident report, when he collided with a 2008

A man was killed and several other people injured after a driver heading the wrong way down Highway 431 in Longview, Wash. caused a four-vehicle wreck Friday night, police said. Around 6:40 p.m., someone called 911 reporting a vehicle driving the wrong direction on Tennant Way. Less than a minute later, police learned four vehicles had wrecked in the 500 block of Tennant Way and one person was dead. Brett Dawdy, 47, of Longview was killed in the crash. Dawdy’s wife and teenage daughter were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

A wrong-way driver collided with a Washington State Patrol cruiser on U.S. 195 on Wednesday afternoon. The trooper was attempting to stop the wrong-way driver near Excelsior Road, 3 miles south of Spokane shortly after 2 p.m. The trooper wasn’t injured, but an ambulance was ordered as a precaution to evaluate the other driver, whom the release described as “elderly.” The northbound lanes were partially blocked as investigators worked at the scene, but the roadway is now clear.

A Lake Stevens woman was booked into the King County Jail early Sunday after a wrong-way crash on I-5. It happened just before 12:30 a.m. on northbound I-5 at Northeast 145th Street. The Washington State Patrol stated that the 22-year-old driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and hit a Ford Edge. One of the three people in the Edge was injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center. The driver of the F-150 and her passenger, a 24-year-old Mukilteo woman, were not hurt.

The Washington State Patrol said a 78-year-old woman caused a crash on Interstate 5 near Mount Vernon when she turned around and started heading the wrong way. The crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. near Anderson Road when the Oak Harbor woman, who was heading southbound, turned around and headed northbound. The state patrol said the woman crashed head-on into a 29-year-old driver in the far left lane.
