A medical helicopter crashed early Saturday morning outside of a Wichita Falls, Texas hospital where it was headed.  The patient it was transporting from nearby Oklahoma was killed the pilot and two medical personnel who were aboard were injured, authorities said. The helicopter, operated by Air Evac Lifeteam, was transporting the patient from Waurika, Oklahoma, to United Regional Health Care in Wichita Falls, about 35 miles to the southwest, when it crashed just before 2 a.m., according to Fire Chief Jon Reese. "The crews are pretty tore up, families are devastated," Reese said.

A Muskogee man deceased when his dune buggy rolled down a bluff and landed on him. Michael Stimmel, 50 was driving a custom-made dune buggy on a trail near State Highway 10 and County Road Tyler in Muskogee County Saturday afternoon, according to a collision report. Troopers say Stimmel was attempting to drive down a 20- to 30-foot bluff when the vehicle started rolling down the hill, flipping a number of times. Stimmel was ejected, and the dune buggy came to rest on top of him. A 20-year-old passenger, Hulbert resident Seyonah Perryman, refused treatment.

A woman died in a traffic accident this week in Washita County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. Angie Marie Lafleur, 49, of Sentinel, was driving a car northbound on State Highway 44 when the vehicle departed the roadway and hit a highway sign and an embankment.

An Avant man, James Hendrix, 56, was critically injured when his motorcycle collided with a deer in Osage County on Tuesday, September 30, and he died of his injuries on Wednesday, October 1.

The crash took place shortly after 9 p.m., when the truck crossed a median, entered oncoming traffic on Interstate 35 near the city of Ardmore, about halfway between Oklahoma City and Dallas in Murray County, and hit the bus carrying The North Central Texas College softball team. Eight students were treated at hospitals and released, while three others were listed in stable condition at two hospitals on Saturday. The driver of the van carrying the students, along with the coach, were both treated for injuries and released as well.

The OHP report states a 2002 Honda TRX 500 driven by James Votaw, 18, of Inola was eastbound when he lost control on a curve, went off the road throwing both him and his passenger, a 16-year-old girl off the ATV. The OHP report said Votaw was driving at an unsafe speed at the time of the crash.  Troopers said neither Votaw or the teen were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

About 7:20 p.m. Saturday, a car and a pickup collided at State Highway 33 and Western Avenue in Logan County, killing Rebecca Vadder and Erube Rodriguez. The drivers of both vehicles and another passenger of pickup were taken to OU Medical Center to be treated.

Jerry Winburn was pronounced dead at the scene. The two children and two adults who were in the second vehicle are in critical condition.

Though both passengers were wearing their seatbelts, the air bags were not equipped to deploy. White was dead at the scene, but the 11-year-old boy has already been released from the hospital.

About 3:30 p.m., Paul C. Purser Jr., 59, was driving a pickup northbound on State Highway 51A when a tractor-trailer driving eastbound on State Highway 51 hit the pickup, killing Purser at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was treated at a nearby hospital and released.
