Manchester man killed by police car, authorities say
Manchester police are cooperating with the investigation and the police officer volunteered to give blood samples for testing, Della Fave said. The initial investigation showed no wrongdoing on the part of the officer, but the investigation was ongoing, he said.

The officer was responding to a township home where a man who apparently was confused and drunk had tried to force his way into the residence.
A township man was hit and killed by a police car on New York Avenue as the officer was responding to a report of a suspicious person on Saturday night. Keith Atkinson Jr., 23, was struck around 11:15 p.m. while he was walking in the road. The police officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of New York Avenue for a report of man who tried to enter a residence by forcing his way through a door. The homeowner confronted the man, who appeared to be intoxicated, and the intruder left on foot. An early investigation determined Atkinson matched the description of the man who tried to get in the residence. Oh his way to the residence, the patrol officer fatally struck Atkinson. The police officer was not using lights and sirens to arrive at the residence without being detected. The police car’s headlights were on, and the speed of the police car is being investigated. Atkinson was wearing dark-colored clothing. The preliminary investigation revealed Atkinson was with his girlfriend before the crash and had consumed alcohol.

I have been praying so hard
I have been praying so hard that this poor young man's parents retaine an attorney to investigate the skid marks as many of us up that night saw that the rookie office was speeding terribly and this young mans death could have been avoided.
