Police identify man killed in single-vehicle crash at M-14 and US-23 near Ann Arbor

Roads were closed for nearly 2.5 hours as the Ann Arbor Township and Superior Township fire departments, and Huron Valley Ambulance, assisted state troopers at the scene.

At about 9:45 a.m., Robert DeBlock of South Lyon was driving in Ann Arbor Township from westbound M-14 to southbound US-23 when he lost control of his vehicle and left the travel lane. The vehicle flipped over, and DeBlock was ejected from the car through the sunroof. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed was a factor. It was apparently a medical issue that caused the accident. He had left his home and was going to work. For whatever reason he was going in the opposite direction to his workplace. As a side note he always wore his seatbelt. He insisted all passenger s wear those.
