The truck driver, whose name wasn’t released, was treated at the scene and released, deputies said. No charges are expected, deputies said, but the investigation continues.
Attica teen dies in fatal accident
Maksymik was driving a car north on Route 98 in Bennington about 8 p.m. when he crossed into the southbound lane striking a tractor trailer, said deputies.
Dominic I. Maksymik, 18, from Attica, was killed Sunday night after the vehicle he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer in Bennington, New York. Maksymik was driving north on Route 98 when his car crossed into the southbound lane and hit the southbound truck. Maksymik was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. Deputies said that a female passenger riding in Maksymik's car was airlifted to Erie County Medical Center in critical condition. Her name hasn't yet been released.
