Krystal Foster, 26, killed and Dakota West, 22, injured in car crash on May 25 on Washington Street in Vicksburg.

Vicksburg Police Chief Walter Armstrong tells us a fatal two vehicle accident happened just after midnight Saturday night. 27-year-old Maurice Hall, of Vicksburg, was driving northbound on Washington Street near Bowmar Avenue when another vehicle driven by 22-year-old Dakota West, of Vicksburg, was traveling southbound on Washington Street.
Chief Armstrong says one of the vehicles crossed the line and caused the head on collision.

26-year-old Krystal Foster, of Vicksburg, was the passenger in the vehicle driven by Hall. Foster died at River Regional Medical Center. West was transported to UMC with serious injuries.

Witnesses tell officers, speed was a factor. No one has been charged at this time. Toxicology reports for both drivers are pending.

The accident is still under investigation.
