Warwick police are investigating a single-car crash that claimed the life of an Exeter man Monday afternoon.

Police said the driver appeared to be buckled and that the air bag deployed.
It is believed that 30-year-old Brett Taraska may have either experienced a medical emergency or was under the influence of alcohol when his vehicle crossed the oncoming traffic lane and departed Ives Road at about 3:14 p.m. His vehicle crashed directly into a tree, and though he was wearing a seat belt, he was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
