BMW slams into Port Charlotte home, three hurt

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- A BMW slammed into an unoccupied Port Charlotte home early Sunday, sending three people inside the car to the hospital. The power pole collision knocked out power to nearly 2500 people in the area. A female driver and two male passengers were hurt when the car struck a power pole, then the vacant home which was newly constructed. Charlotte County officials say the crash happened around 3 a.m. at Wilmington and Coliseum. The three people inside the vehicle were all in stable condition when they were transported to the hospital.

Sad thing is the driver has had 6+ traffic citations for speeding 70 mph, careless driving, etc... in at least 2 different counties in the area over the last 2 years and she still has a license. Scary she's still allowed on the road.
