Teen critical, woman arrested after northwest valley crash
Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate the Chevrolet was northbound on Buffalo, approaching Gowan, at the same time the driver of the Pontiac was traveling East on Gowan, approaching Buffalo. The Chevrolet entered the intersection against a red light an crashed into the front end of the Pontiac, which had a green light.
Car accident in northwest critically injures teen
One passenger in the Pontiac was ejected and was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition. The driver of the Equinox was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
The front passenger of the Pontiac, a 16-year-old Las Vegas girl, was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition. The 20-year-old woman driving the Pontiac and the Pontiac's other two passengers, a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, sustained moderate injuries. The 40-year-old woman driving the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries and was arrested "for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol".
