2 teens killed in East Chicago rollover crash

Two teenagers were killed in a rollover car crash in East Chicago early Sunday, police said.One of the victims was identified as Marco Alvarado, 18, of East Chicago in northwest Indiana, according to the Lake County (Ind.) Coroner.Five other teenagers were hospitalized with injuries.The vehicle was going about 90 mph on Railroad Avenue near West 143rd Street when the driver lost control and hit a utility pole, police said.The vehicle rolled over and struck another utility pole.It does not appear other vehicles were involved, officials said.

2 teens die, 5 hurt in high-speed crash in East Chicago

East Chicago police chief Mark Becker says the vehicle's driver and a front-seat passenger died in the crash about 3 a.m. Sunday. The Lake County coroner's office in northwest Indiana identified them as 18-year-old Marco Alvarado of East Chicago and 17-year-old Eric Rodriguez.

ERIC was my older brother he was everything a older brother was we had our ups and downs but everyday he was my brother and when I found out that morning that he would no longer be with us broke me down into many tears all I could think was why!!!! IT IS MY 1 YEAR WITHOUT HIM
