Highway 178

At about 1:58am, Romero was driving in the center lane of Highway 178 near Haley Street and Bernard Street, when he collided with a car that was in the lane to his left. The collision caused Romero's vehicle to spin and flip over, and he was pronounced dead after being taken to Kern Medical Center.

A Union County deputy was killed in a car accident Wednesday night.

Deputy Clint Frazier was on duty when he crashed around 9 p.m. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, his patrol car left the road, struck an embankment and flipped.
