Two 21-year-olds died early Thursday when their vehicle collided with a semi on Interstate 55 in Channahon Township at 1:00 a.m. Both occupants of a Buick Regal were ejected from the vehicle. Tyler Fox, of Channahon, and Darcy Chobar, of Shorewood, were pronounced deceased at the crash site.
Three people were transported to local hospitals Thursday with non-life-threatening injuries after a collision on northbound Interstate 55 near Bolingbrook. The accident involved multiple motorcycles. The cause of the collision is being investigated.
At around 8:15 a.m., the Illinois State Police Executive Protection Unit officers were involved in a routine movement of Governer Rauner when one of the vehicles in the motorcade was involved in a traffic accident.
Illinois State Police is reporting four people were killed in an accident on Interstate 55 involving at least one semi-trailer truck and three autos south of Chicago in Will County.
The fatal accident Monday afternoon occurred on I-55 near Arsenal Road in Elwood.
