Kahekili Highway

Sunday morning 25-year-old Chevis Pacheco-Carlos of Pukalani died after a motorcycle crash on Kahekili Highway, Wailuku.  The crash occurred near Puuohala Road at approximately 1:47 a.m.

Honolulu police officers have reopened Kahekili Hwy. in the Kahuku-bound direction near Haiku Rd.

Crews previously contraflowed the road to clear the scene of a two-vehicle crash. Police dispatch says the accident occurred at 11:30 a.m. and resulted in one of the vehicles overturning.

Maui firefighters are working to recover a woman's body after her car went off a cliff on Kahekili Highway and down about a hundred feet.

It happened in the Kahakuloa area which is the northern part of west Maui.

The call came in around 1:45 Saturday afternoon.
