Steele Creek Road

Rebecca Navrot, 16, of Fairbanks, lost control of the Chevrolet Cavalier she was driving on Steele Creek Road, which then left the roadway and rolled over. State troopers received an emergency call about the accident at approximately 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.  

Police have arrested a man who they say fell asleep behind the wheel and hit another car head-on, killing the driver. Trungquan Le Tran, 23, is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

Emergency officials are responding to an accident in southwest Charlotte involving a car and a tractor trailer. The accident happened on the railroad tracks on the 11500 block of Steele Creek Road just before 6:30 p.m.
