The mission of the Spokane County Superior Court is to administer justice with fairness, equality, integrity, to resolve matters before the court in a timely manner with trained and motivated staff, and to provide courteous and prompt service in a manner that inspires public trust and confidence.

The Office of the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney consists of 65 attorneys, 60 support staff and 6 victim-witness staff members. The prosecuting attorney office is divided into units including Administration, Major Crimes, Special Assault, Domestic Violence, Gang, and Drug/Traffic/Probation.

The Mission of the Snohomish County Superior Court is to actively manage the business of the court as to provide for fair, prompt, and efficient resolution of disputes; to provide due process and individual justice in each case; and to maintain independence and parity as an equal branch of government.

The Prosecuting Attorney's Office is responsible for prosecuting all adult and juvenile felony cases referred by county law enforcement agencies, and all misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases referred by the county sheriff, the State Patrol, all state agencies, and some cities who have contracted with the county for misdemeanor prosecution services.

County Superior Court is a general jurisdiction trial court with responsibility for civil matters involving more than $300, unlawful detainers, and injunctions; felony criminal cases; misdemeanor criminal cases not otherwise provided for by law; family law, including dissolutions, child support, adoptions, parentage, and domestic-violence protection matters; probate and guardianship matters; juvenile offender matters; juvenile dependencies, including abused and neglected children, children in need of services, at-risk youth, and truancies; mental illness and involuntary commitment matters.

As a court of limited jurisdiction, the District Court is responsible for the following types of matters: civil litigation matters up to $75,000; small claims matters up to $5,000; nuisance violations; vehicle tow and impound hearings; anti-harassment orders; domestic violence protection orders; infractions (traffic, non-traffic and parking); misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor criminal cases; felony expedited cases; felony preliminary hearings; search warrants; and death inquests.

The Skagit County Public Defender's Office provides defense services for indigents charged with criminal offenses, juveniles charged with criminal offenses, at-risk juveniles, indigent parents in child dependency cases, and respondents in Mental Health Proceedings.

The San Juan County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has six major functions: it serves as the state's attorney in all adult and juvenile criminal cases in San Juan County; it provides victim services for victims of crime and their families; it is the County's law firm on civil issues and lawsuits; it assists the attorney general in family support cases; it is the County's coroner; and it participates in community affairs and improvement of the legal system.

Pierce County Superior Court is a general jurisdiction trial court with responsibility for civil matters involving more than $300, unlawful detainers, and injunctions; felony criminal cases; misdemeanor criminal cases not otherwise provided for by law; family law,including dissolutions, child support, adoptions, parentage, and domestic-violence protection matters; probate and guardianship matters; juvenile offender matters; juvenile dependencies, including abused and neglected children, children in need of services, at-risk youth, and truancies; mental illness and involuntary commitment matters.

The mission of the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's office is to vigorously protect the rights of the people of Pierce County and hold offenders accountable. They support crime victims and their families.

Pend Oreille County Superior Court is a general jurisdiction trial court with responsibility for civil matters involving more than $300, unlawful detainers, and injunctions; felony criminal cases; misdemeanor criminal cases not otherwise provided for by law; family law, including dissolutions,child support, adoptions, parentage, and domestic-violence protection matters; probate and guardianship matters; juvenile offender matters;juvenile dependencies, including abused and neglected children,children in need of services, at-risk youth, and truancies; mental illness and involuntary commitment matters.
