Adams County Superior Court is a general jurisdiction trial court with responsibility for civil matters involving more than $300, unlawful detainers, and injunctions; felony criminal cases; misdemeanor criminal cases not otherwise provided for by law; family law,including dissolutions, child support, adoptions, parentage, and domestic-violence protection matters; probate and guardianship matters; juvenile offender matters; juvenile dependencies, including abused and neglected children, children in need of services, at-risk youth, and truancies; mental illness and involuntary commitment matters.

Washington State district and municipal courts may consider civil and criminal matters related to misdemeanor criminal cases, traffic, non-traffic, and parking infractions, domestic violence protection orders, civil actions of $75,000 or less, and small claims up to$5,000.

The Okanogan County Prosecutor's Office mission is to motivate compliance with and respect for the law by punishing law violations, facilitating restitution and encouraging rehabilitation, while providing sound legal advice and representation to the various county agencies.

Mason County Superior Court is a trial court of general jurisdiction having original and appellate jurisdiction as authorized by the Constitution and the laws of the State of Washington. Superior Court judges and court commissioners hear felony and other criminal matters, civil matters, domestic relations matters, guardianship and probate matters, juvenile matters as well as child dependency cases, and appeals from lower courts (Mason County District Court and Shelton Municipal Court), and appeals from state administrative agencies.

The prosecuting attorney is the lawyer for the people of Mason County. The main responsibility of the prosecutor is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime. This includes ordering restitution for the victim, informing the victim of court dates, and acting as an advocate for the victim at trial and sentencing.

Washington has 39 Superior Courts, one in each of Washington's 39 counties. Superior Courts are the trial courts of general jurisdiction in Washington. A Superior Court may consider all civil and criminal matters occurring within a county's boundary. The Superior Court also has exclusive jurisdiction over civil matters in which the amount in controversy is more than $75,000, felony cases, estate and probate matters,family law cases (including divorces and child custody hearings), and juvenile proceedings. They act as a court of appeal for cases from the District and Municipal Courts.

The Prosecuting Attorney is the chief legal officer for Lewis County. The primary mission of a Prosecuting Attorney is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime. This includes obtaining orders for restitution for the victim, informing the victim of court dates, and acting as an advocate for the victim at trial and sentencing. The Prosecuting Attorney also acts as legal counsel to the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners and county departments, assists in certain child support cases, and performs a number of other statutory duties.

In criminal matters, the Klickitat County Prosecutor represent the interests of the people of the State by ensuring that offenders within the county are timely charged with crimes that accurately reflect the offending conduct, and further, by taking all steps necessary to ensure that the conduct is appropriately punished. They prosecute cases in the Superior Court located in Goldendale, and the two District Courts located in Goldendale and White Salmon. They determine what charge to file, when and where to file it, how best to obtain a conviction, and they recommend a punishment if the offender is convicted. In their civil division, they act as the law firm representing the County and its agencies.
