Watch a Tesla Model S drive itself through rush hour traffic (VIDEO)

Many of us are too poor to have to own a Tesla Model S, or our rich friends are too electric car-averse, so we'll never know how cool the Teslas's autopilot feature is because we have to settle for borrowed McLarens. Until now! The folks at Slow News Day have a rich friend who does like electric cars, so they filmed themselves driving (and not driving) a Tesla Model S through Birmingham rush hour for our enjoyment.

Since the Model S isn't technically a self-driving (i.e., autonomous) car, even with its fancy autopilot, playing Jenga and taking a nap still probably fall under distracted driving. But honestly, people almost certainly do worse things than openly play Jenga in their completely human-controlled vehicles, so it's sort of hard to get upset about it. At this point I'm more upset about the fact that it's still legal for humans to drive. I want all self-driving cars, all the time. Get on it, science!
