Video of stumbling drunk driver shows who we're sharing the roads with
Can we have self-driving cars now? Please? Because this is who is currently driving.
The Sarasota County Sherriff's Office released the below video "as a sobering reminder to all motorists of who they just might be sharing the road with. We also hope it causes people who are impaired -- whether by alcohol or other substances -- to think twice before getting behind the wheel."
In the video, we see helicopter footage of alleged drunk driver, Aaron Proulx, parking his car after police believe he was involved in a hit-and-run crash. Proulx gets out of the car and immediately falls to the ground, and in the next few minutes we see him and a passenger flail around, fall, flail, flip the helicopter the bird, fall over, and flail some more.
Finally, law enforcement shows up (when the pair appear to be puking in some nearby trash cans), and Proulx is arrested with a blood alcohol content of 0.22, which is nearly three times the legal limit.
Fun fact: Sarasota is not far from Lakeland, Florida, where a few months ago a woman filmed herself driving drunk. What The Florida.
