2 hurt in crash on icy I-82 near Ellensburg

The State Patrol recommended Ronquillo be charged with driving too fast for conditions.
A semi-truck crashed into a car that spun out on icy Interstate 82 south of Ellensburg on Sunday morning, injuring two, the Washington State Patrol reported. Teresita Ronquillo of Federal Way was driving east at about 10:50 a.m. approximately 20 miles south of Ellensburg on I-82 when she lost control on the icy roadway and spun out in front of a tractor trailor driven by Gerald Krupp 63, of Caldwell, Idaho. Ronquillo’s 2002 Ford Focus two-door sedan was totaled, and Ronquillo and her passenger, Steven Schmele of Federal Way were treated and released at KVH Hospital in Ellensburg.
