3 injured in Birmingham wreck

One of the parties involved said two cars got into a wreck, which pushed one of the vehicles into a tractor-trailer. Three people were injured in a wreck Tuesday afternoon. Birmingham Fire and Rescue authorities say that one patient was taken to Children's of Alabama for treatment, and two were taken to UAB Hospital. The accident was reported around 4:20 p.m. near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue Southwest at 24th Street Southwest.
