Elmore was driving a 2003 Buick Century that collided with a 2008 Jeep Liberty near the 38-mile marker of Highway 82, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency state troopers.
A 2003 Buick Century driven by 88-year old Robert Lewis Elmore collided with a 2008 Jeep Liberty at 8:10 p.m. last Sunday on Highway 82 in Coker, Alabama. Elmore was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. The injured driver of Jeep Liberty, 22-year old Margaret Claire Adams was taken to the same hospital for treatment of her injuries.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Trooper Reginal King, Elmore was not wearing a seat belt during the accident and was partially ejected from his car.
