Two killed, one seriously injured in Monday night crash near Jasper

Jeremy Phillips, 34, of Cordova, was driving along Alabama 69 when the 2006 Ford F150 he drove collided with a 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by Jeffrey Stovers, 50, of Jasper. Phillips and Stovers died in the crash, which occurred about 9:15 p.m. Monday near mile marker 212 about six miles east of Jasper.

Two people were killed and another seriously injured in a head-on collision Monday night east of Jasper, according to Alabama State Troopers. Jeremy Phillips, 34, and Jeffrey Stovers, 50, both died, and a passenger in Phillips' truck, 33-year-old Natasha Phillips, of Cordova, was taken to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
