A car crash in Northport Thursday night killed a woman and hurt three others, including a child, according to a representative for the Northport Fire Department.
Northport man indicted for manslaughter in fatal accident
A grand jury indicted Jessie Ray Hannah, 72, on one charge of manslaughter and two charges of second-degree assault in connection with the wreck that killed Lisa Sartain, 45, last year.
A car crash in Northport Thursday night killed a woman and hurt three others, including a child, according to a representative for the Northport Fire Department.
The representative said on the department's Twitter account that two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 171 and Tom Montgomery Road in Northport.
45-year-old Lisa Sartain was killed in the crash. Two adults were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment of their injuries and a child was airlifted by helicopter to Children's of Alabama in Birmingham. Their conditions of the injured are currently unknown.
The accident is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
