Alpine woman dies in wreck on AL. 21

Authorities have identified an Alpine woman killed in a car wreck over the weekend. Sunday, Sept. 27. on AL. 21, one mile north of Talladega. Talladega resident Stephen Ray Farrior, 20, was injured in the wreck and was transported to Citizens Baptist Medical Center. Vashawnda Nicole Garrett, 27, died in a head-on collision at 4:50 a.m. The crash is under investigation.

Alpine woman killed in Talladega crash

An Alpine woman was killed Sunday in a crash in Talladega. Sunday on Alabama Highway 21, about a mile north of Talladega. State troopers say Vashawnda Nicole Garrett, 27, died when the Nissan Sentra she was driving collided head on with a Dodge Charger driven by Stephen Ray Farrior Jr. of Talladega. The crash was reported 4:50 a.m. He was taken to Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega for treatment.
