Danville man killed in Sunday morning crash south of Decatur

A Danville man was killed Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash just south of Decatur. Tyler Wayne Whitt, 26, was driving a GMC pickup truck on Red Bank Road around 6:20 a.m. when the truck left the roadway and struck a tree. Trooper Curtis Summerville, spokesman for the Huntsville trooper post, said Whitt was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into Whitt's death is ongoing.
