A 17-year-old was killed Monday after a crash in Jackson County.

Just after 7 p.m. on County Road 39, Matthew Scott Bullock was driving when for unknown reasons his vehicle struck a tree, killing him. Bullock was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
