Along with several others, the Alexanders, of Madison, were instrumental in the founding of Huntsville's Greengate School, a learning institution dedicated to educating and supporting dyslexic students.

Woman indicted in hit-and-run crash that killed advocate for dyslexic Alabama children

Miranda Paige Loveday, 26, is indicted on a charge of leaving the scene of the crash that killed Alexander and seriously injured the victim's husband, Chuck, according to court records. Loveday faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the Class C felony.
