Tommy Whitlow, 59, critically injured in collision between pickup and tractor trailer on Market Street in Moulton, Alabama

Moulton man still in hospital after wreck with 18-wheeler

The preliminary accident report states the 18-wheeler was traveling north when it slowed for a truck making a left turn. A Facebook page entitled Praying for Tommy Whitlow has been set up and is updated often. According to family members, Tommy Whitlow, 59, is listed in stable condition in SICU. Whitlow has underwent surgery to remove his spleen, gallbladder, one kidney and his appendix. According to the Moulton officer who worked the accident, Whitlow was driving a 2012 Ford 4-door F150 pickup which collided with a 1998 International 18-wheeler driven by Tommy Howard Mears of Decatur. The 18-wheeler then jackknifed and went into Whitlow's pickup which was south bound on Market Street.
